What "project commission" means

A modest percentage of total project value, paid by the provider to EPD Market on each closed match, with a per-project cap to protect provider economics on larger jobs. Exact commission terms are agreed during onboarding. Buyers never see it — the commission is between the platform and the provider, and the buyer receives the provider's quote net of our fee.

How tier upgrades and downgrades work

You can move between Small Independent and Larger Organisations at any time. Eligibility for the Larger tier is verified at onboarding (we ask for staff count or turnover evidence). Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. Pausing your subscription hides your profile but keeps your history intact.

Common provider questions.

A project is any matched brief you've accepted and started working on. Briefs you decline, or where the buyer chooses someone else, don't count. The cap resets monthly on your billing date.
If you regularly take on more than 3 active projects a month, the Larger tier is the right fit — but you'd need to meet the staff-or-turnover threshold. If you don't, we can offer a custom expansion package on Small Independent. Talk to us.
We ask for a short attestation at onboarding, plus a recent payroll summary or filed annual accounts. We don't store the underlying documents — we record the attestation and a date of verification. Re-verified annually.
Yes. You can pause at the end of any billing cycle — your profile is hidden from the directory until you reactivate. Briefs paused with you stay reserved for 14 days.
You only pay subscription. The project commission is contingent on closing a match. We'd rather you tell us — most "no closes" mean we've been sending you the wrong sectors.
In the MVP phase, commission is invoiced at each project milestone. Once volume grows, we move to escrow-style billing through Stripe Connect.
Yes — renewals (5-year EPD re-verifications) carry the same commission, but typically at a lower project value, so the fee is smaller in absolute terms.
We've intentionally stopped at Larger Organisations. Pay-for-placement tiers tend to compromise buyer trust in a marketplace, and trust is our core value proposition. If you need bespoke arrangements (white-label, exclusivity in a sector, large-team licensing), get in touch.
